The NCSERF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides a full range of educational and research activities for the cargo transportation industry, including shippers, carriers, insurers, forwarders, vendors, and security firms - as well as the various federal and local law enforcement agencies charged with combating cargo crime. |

- To promote better public understanding of the role of cargo security within the US - To conduct research into issues involving cargo security - To provide information on cargo security to the public at large, to law enforcement organizations and agencies, to the transportation industry, to schools of transportation, as well as to government agencies - To develop and support programs that reduce the number, quantity and volume of cargo theft |
